About me

Hi! I'm Elisa Bassignana, a PhD student at IT University of Copenhagen.
I work under the supervision of Prof. Barbara Plank and Dr. Rob van der Goot.
I am also affiliated with the Center for Information and Language Processing (CIS) in Munich.

I love subjects related to human-computer interaction, language
variation across domains, cats, mountains and Italy.

My research

I work in the field of Natural Language Processing as a member of the NLP north research unit at ITU, and as an affiliated member of the MaiNLP research lab at LMU.
My main focus is developing computation systems for Information Extraction with strong abilities to generalize over unseen data sources and label spaces. Specifically, I work on cross-domain Relation Extraction. Previously, I worked in the field of social NLP (hate speech and personality detection).
